Playing in the rain

Mid fifties and raining, but still fun on mother’s day.  Once we realized we could put up the bimini, it was even more pleasant!

Plus, we are still psyched from our first squall on Gerty last week.  35+kts frontal wind shift and Gerty was happy as could be. With three reefs and staysail she beat into it like a champ, adding to our confidence in her.  When the front passed, all became still.  It was an exhilarating 30 minutes and a great after work day escape.  Of course we were too busy to remember to take any pictures.
